TOM BLUE
Chief Executive Officer
Tom knows the business from both sides of the wrench. As the chief mechanic, he has more than 30 years of experience with Cessna Citations. He’s also an authorized FAA Inspector, and a fixed-wing and commercial helicopter pilot. When he’s not up in the skies, you may find him spending time with his grandchildren, horseback riding at the Ranch or bailing hay. Tom is an accomplished archer, fisherman and hunter. He loves working with his hands to restore planes, cars, tractors and horse wagons (buckboards).
SAM BLUE
Chief Operating Officer
Sam is a commercial fixed-wing pilot with experience in a wide range of airplanes, from an Extra 300L to Citation jets. He’s also a Multiengine/Instrument Certified Flight Instructor. Sam covers the day-to-day business operations along with the sales and acquisitions for customers buying or selling planes. If he’s not at the airport you’ll likely find him at the local drag strip with his 1968 Plymouth Satellite or dragging behind a boat on the Mississippi River.
BRIAN ALCORN
Director of Maintenance
Brian joined Blue Airways in 2022 as the new Director of Maintenance. Over the last 30 years, he has accumulated a diverse range of aviation experiences, holding his private pilot certifications, A&P/IA, and a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics, with a double minor in Aviation Safety and in Leadership. He spent four years in the Marine Corps working on AV8B's (Harriers) and moved into the private and corporate aviation sectors. Brian has been in several positions including Sheet Metal, Lead A&P, Inspector, Methods Engineer, Functional Test Engineer, Customer Support Engineer and Director of Maintenance. When Brian is not at the airport he enjoys being outdoors, remodeling homes, hunting and spending time with family and friends.
ARLEN WESTIN
Line Service Manager
Arlen came to Blue Airways in the fall of 2013 with an auto mechanic and building maintenance background. When he's not tending to your fueling needs, you'll find him cleaning and repairing our equipment, terminal and hangars. At home, Arlen loves to ride the local river bluff country with his wife on their Victory motorcycle. He also loves camping with his children and grandchildren at local state parks.
MIKE KEUHNI
Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic
Mike has been a part of the Blue Airways Team since 2018 and involved with the Red Wing Airport for more than a decade. He conducts routine Pitot Static Checks and Prop Balancing. Mike has more than 30 years of aviation experience, ranging from float planes to jets.
BRAD HURON
Line Service and Maintenance
Brad joined the Blue Airways team in 2022. He has a background in many things maintenance and mechanical. Brad has worked on most anything with wheels and is now adding airplanes to the list. You can find Brad working on numerous projects around the business, assisting with the mechanics and fueling planes. In his spare time, he is an avid Mopar car and truck enthusiast, who is always on the hunt for the next treasure. Brad enjoys car shows and spending time with his family and fellow gear heads.
EVAN GEORGE
Airport Intern
Evan is Blue Airways newest employee and Tom's great-nephew. He is a sophomore in high school, enjoys reading and his border collie, Iris. Evan makes sure the terminal is well maintained and welcoming to all guests.
